TeenFlight™ 10 – 11/29

Teenflight class

Last week, on 11/22, we received our very first airplane kit – the fuselage. We started off by finishing the last of the training kits – the toolboxes. With the students who finished them early starting to inventory the fuselage kit. Then everyone finally started working on the airplane!

We begin every kit by logging inventory and organizing the new parts & hardware. Everybody was involved in this process. Once the inventory was done, each team began working with the plans, preparing parts, and starting to rivet some things together.

On the 29th, we will be able to work solely on the airplane for most of class. This means that we get a large amount of time to spend on the early stages of the fuselage and we should get a lot of progress done.

This is an exciting time for every TeenFlight™ build! We are all excited to see our students and our next airplane begin to come together. We expect progress will be relatively slow and steady at first as we all fall into the routine and figure out how this new group works together best.
